The plan

Well, there isn't one yet. Part of me wants to strip it back and make a cool bobber out of it, but with a bike this original it seems a shame. I'm tending towards doing a nice restoration.

For the time being, I'll just get it up on the hoist and contemplate my navel.

  1. It's lovely - I know what I'd do and I wish I had it, it's wonderful! Get the motor running nice, which may possibly involve taking it out of the frame I guess. Sort out the wiring using materials that look like the originals. Replace the stuff that's not correct (bars etc.) if you're bothered with NOS/nicely used bits if you can find em. Put a decent set of modern tyres on so it handles. Then leave the rest alone!! The paintwork is fantastic, what a patina, maybe clean the chrome/alloy a little and enjoy..it's only original once. Please don't restore it, and please don't chop it, there must be another bike out there for you to do that.
